Ms. Missive
- Founder and Writer
She didn’t take the plunge into news and political writing until after her deployment to Iraq in 2005. Her service to her country left more than fuzzy feelings and she struggled to find an outlet towards much of the madness happening inside and outside of America. “One year in the desert has shaken the foundation of my life more than I could ever describe”, she muses.
A native of Illinois and holder of a B.A. in English, she writes for more than her own self fulfillment. She believes that it’s everyones responsibility to be informed and educated in the happenings of the world. How else can people make sound decisions?
Her writings have appeared in the 2007 World Almanac under the section titled, “Blogs from Soldiers and Their Families: Voices of Service in America.” She also appears in the Andrews McMeel Universal publication, The Sandbox: Dispatches From Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
She has traveled to Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, and Israel.

Skitz M. Jones
- Co-Founder and Writer
A renaissance man in the truest form. Poet, Musician, Spoken Word Performer, Political Commentator, Tattoo Enthusiast, Medic in the U.S. Army National Guard, and OIF Vet.
His former band IPV disbanded in 2002, though he has reunited with the band’s guitarist to form Suryat!, while also working on a solo music project The Choir of Liars. His first published book of poetry, In Exile, is available at most major online book retailers, and his second book American Romance has just been released in time for the holidays.
In 2008 Skitz began work on his 3rd book- a process in which he will be writing a poem a day every day of the year, and he also took a position as Editor in Chief for a Chicagoland area Pro-Wrestling organization’s magazine. Examples of his work there can be found at POWW Entertainment.
He spent Oct 2005- Oct 2006 stationed in Balad, Iraq where he cared for both Iraqis and Americans alike in his medical missions.
He has no political affiliation due to being convinced that all politicians who make it far enough to find public office must be- by nature of their positions- full of shit. He freely admits to likely being full of shit as well, just so there’s no confusion.

FAQ
Are you political? If so, where do you lean?
Yes. Each contributor has his or her own political affiliation. But what we agree on is that all high ranking politicians have gotten where they are NOT because of their honesty. I think “full of shit” would best describe them. With that being said, we’re fairly center. Maybe a bit center-left on certain issues… center-right on others. In either case, we agree that G.W. Bush sure is a dick.
Aren’t you being a bit too snarky?
There’s no such thing as too snarky. Take it. You know you like it.
Are you some sort of radical, uber-patriot?
Even though we’re both military veterans of the Iraq war, we don’t agree with every policy our country makes. In fact, we love the United States so much that we insist on being critical of her. It’s everyones patriotic duty to pay attention to what’s happening in our country and the influence it has in the world for good and for bad.
Is there a money back guarantee?
Well, no, but I suppose it doesn’t cost you anything to be here anyway.
