Republican reaction after Obama's successful first month [Video]

How amazing! The reaction of the Republican party (and their minions) to Obama’s first month as president captured on a camera phone! And who knew it would manifest itself in the body of a small Chinese woman.

Chill, honey bunny. Chill.

How the hell has this first month been successful?

Has the recession ended in the United States?

    No?

Has all the infrastructure in the United States been rebuilt?

    No?

Is there peace in the Middle East?

    No!

Has the United States found energy independence through the use of some new non-polluting renewable fuel?

    No?

Solution found for America's illegal alien problem?

    No?

    Have we found bin Laden?

    No?

Have we found a cure for cancer?

    No?

Are we out of Iraq because Iraq is at peace?

    No?

Is Iran no longer a threat due to their nuclear aspirations?

    No?

But the first month is successful because "the One" says it's been successful. And of course what he says goes.

Perhaps you think the first month has been successful because there hasn't been an terrorist attack on US soil (though there has been an American kidnapped in Pakistan). Well I believe we will see that in April although definitely before a year and a half has passed.

  2. James says:

On Nov. 4, after Barack Obama clinched the White House, the market closed at 9,625.28.

In mid-morning trading today, the day President Obama signs his massive Generational Theft Act into law and a day before he unveils a massive new mortgage entitlement, the Dow dropped to to 7,606.53.

Now, imagine if President Bush had presided over a 2,000-point stock market tumble in the same time period — during the first few months of his presidency.

Jami, why don't you stick to affairs of your own country. For it is obvious you don't have a clue what is going on in America.

  3. James says:

"-He's created a bi-partisan government by hiring Republicans into his cabinet and also encourages bi-partisan understanding and respect."

Yeah, we saw that when his people booed Bush. Totally inappropriate at least historically. But such acts prove that everything goes now, and people will remember that. Can't get things both way as much as liberals expect they can.

By the way, ever heard of Norman Y. Mineta?

"And in 8 years did President Bush accomplish ANY of the things you've just listed?!? "

First, you don't have a fan with me when it comes to Bush. He destroyed this country and much of the stuff Obama is now doing is just continuation of Bush policies.

But Bush isn't "the One". Few people in American history if any has come into office with such expectations that Obama came in with. He ran not for President but for Messiah!

He even called himself once "Superman". Talk about beginning to believe your own propaganda.

Well I guess we could call him the Man of Steal.

Stick to Israel. You haven't a clue about what is going on in our country.

James Warren "Jim" Jones (May 13, 1931 – November 18, 1978) was the founder of the Peoples Temple, which is best known for the November 18, 1978 death of over 900 Temple members in Jonestown, Guyana along with the deaths of nine other people at a nearby airstrip and in Georgetown.

Jim Jones saw himself as "the One". He saw himself as the Messiah. But when things got bad and he felt his power slipping from him he commanded his followers to drink poison, mixed in Kool Aid (well it wasn't that brand of powder drink but something like it).

Then we have David Koresh, who saw himself as"the One" too. He too came to a point of his life where he was faced with the lost of his power. Just like Jim Jones, when the critical confrontation occurred as it most often seem to with these Cult Leaders, instead of surrender he led his people to death.

As terrible as these people are and as terrible as the result of what they did when they saw their power was nearing an end still in those cases we can be grateful that those Cult Leaders didn't have a nuclear arsenal under their control.

In the US Presidency there is a period of time between when the election is held and when the person gets in power. Perhaps there is no other way to do something like that but still that leaves about a month of time where if the incumbent lost the election, they still have all the power and authority of the President. Around a couple of months about of time that the person can sit there and think about their pending lost of power.

We just saw that with our new President winning office in November but the old President still having power until January.

The next time we can see such a situation like that possibly existing is 2012. In fact if Obama loses the Presidency, even though he knows that he is due to lose power in January 2013, he will still have all the power of the Presidency on and around December 24, 2012.

    History tends to repeat itself.

  6. Kurt says:

The most unbiased opinion in the world is Wall Street.

They really don't care about one's political affiliation.

If they objectively think that your policies are going to bring about prosperity they hop on board. They are not going to let partisanship blind them to reality. They don't care if you are conservative, liberal, or heck socialist, as long as they believe that what you are going to do will be successful then they will act in a positive manner.

So, what does the most objective group of people in the world say about Obama's economic plan.

    DOW -291.59 (-3.71%)

Again, this has nothing to do with them all being Republicans because of course they aren't. A great many of them are indeed Democrats. Just look at Obama's Financial Donation records. But regardless of their political affiliation, if any, they can't miss out on a good thing. They would lose their jobs. So, this is what they honestly believe about the economic outlook ahead.

They are not going to sacrifice possible profit in order to "just hurt Obama." Even if they were personally so inclined.

Wall Street has proved to be a very good predictor of future economic prospects from a 6 to 18 month period of time.

And so this is the ultimate vote of NO CONFIDENCE!

  7. Scott says:

"President Obama is bringing a country together"?

Only a foreigner who only gets her news from the Left Wing American Propaganda media instead of living in America would say something like that.

Americans have never been so divided in our history.

But, heck, if we are supposed to believe the news media, which I guess we are then this whole Palestinian thing – all your fault. Can't have it both ways. If the News media is credible about one then it must be the the other.

So, stop persecuting those poor Palestinians. Okay!

    I am, I am, I am superman
    And I can do anything.

  9. Gus says:

    Emanuel 9:18

Once when Obama was exercising in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, "Who do the crowds say I am?"

They replied, "Some say Che Guevara; others say Martin Luther King, Jr. and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life."

But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

Rahm answered, "You are the One, the Obama, the One we have been waiting for."

  10. Steve says:

    You know what gets me.

Here you have a video of some Asian woman who I don't know of what political persuasion. Heck, I don't even know if she is an American citizen.

But you have to make up some lie about her being a Republican.

Meanwhile, I have video after video of ACTUAL Obama supporters acting in the strangest, most frightening ways.

You have to lie and make up stories about you enemies that are actually true when it comes to your side.

  11. Cynthia says:

I listened very carefully and I didn't hear the poor lady mention Obama once?

So, I was just wondering where you got that this was about Obama.

It seems odd that you would bring this video up at all. You think an upset Asian woman is a source of humor? The eyes is what makes it so funny, huh?

It seems pretty clear from this post as well as the one you were talking about the "Muslim Psyche" that you are a racist. Heck, substitute Jewish for Muslim and that post could have come out of something from Mein Kampf.

I think it is so wrong to judge this lady from just one incident. Who knows what series of situations could have led her there. I know that air travel can indeed be extremely stressful. One has to practically undress over and over again for screening. Then depending on where one is traveling you have to sit for hours upon hours on seats that are not always so comfortable. And then transfers that seem to either be way to long waiting at the airport or in this case, way too short. Transfers where if the plane is late for arrival you have to run to even have hope of making it. I remember one transfer I had once where I and the people I was with had to run from the moment we got off the plane to all the way to the other side of the airport, barely making it. I guess we should have just resigned ourselves to missing it because while we did make the flight, our luggage didn't so we still had to wait at our designation for the next flight in order to to get them.

Wow, are you the fortunate one to never have been in a situation where frustration upon frustration adds up until one final straw just is too much. I can easily imagine such a scenario. Looking at your watch as the arrival time of the plane you are on gets later, and later, closing whatever window of time you have to catch the transfer flight. Running from the minute you get off the flight all the way to the other end of the airport to catch the transfer, perhaps getting lost once or twice in the process, perhaps having to go to the bathroom but not having the time of course to take care of that, constantly dropping the packages you are carrying, and then just by bare moments missing the fight. Missing the flight by moments is far more frustrating then say missing it by 10 minutes or more. I could see how it could cause a temporary breakdown.

  12. Cynthia says:

Little sleep, and then add in say a death or a sickness in the the family, or some other additional personal stressor. When I see this video I say by the grace of G-d go I, but you just get your jollies out of an "Asian Lady going crazy." And then you give her what you consider the greatest insult. Accuse her, without evidence of being your greatest enemy. I don't see calling someone anti-Obama as necessarily as being a slur, but to you I guess the worse thing you can accuse someone of being is a Republican. Either that or having an "Muslim Psyche".

I see nothing but racism and hatred in your heart. I see no sympathy there. No understanding. You just are so internally full of hate that you really have shown yourself to be a most terrible type of person indeed. I have the utmost sympathy for those poor unfortunates whose paths cross yours in everyday life. I indeed feel fortunate that I will not likely run across you personally. For you are a ugly, racist piece of work indeed.

    Nasdaq 1,470.66 -63.70 -4.15%

Wow, if this is what Superman considers to be "success" I think he has been sniffing a little too much of that green Kryptonite powder.

And if you think this is success perhaps you have been putting too much of that same powder into your Kool Aid.

Taking from the words of the Scrubs theme song.

    He's no Superman!

  14. Steve says:

Saying that she was upset about Obama was indeed from any indication – A LIE!

  15. Steve says:

As much as you try, lies about your enemy just can't keep up with the crazy truth about your side.

    Oh, yes, you can.

Not worrying about filing up your gas tank.

    Oh, yes, you can.

Just leave it in his Hands..

Imagine all His supporters, Worshiping him as G-d.

    Woo Hoo,

You many say that that's just a few people. But they aren't the only ones.

Someday they are all going to be disappointed, and then he will be their Hated One.

  17. Henry says:

"…placed a cap on SEO salaries for those companies expecting stimulus relief funds?"

    He has has he?

That is not what I have exactly heard.

"And if these executives receive any additional compensation, it will come in the form of stock that can't be paid up until taxpayers are paid back for their assistance."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. What does that mean, exactly?

The possibility for additional compensation can come from "deferred stock," that as the President explained, can't be sold until the bank pays back its debt to the Treasury. But deferred stock isn't the same as restricted stock.

Here's how Simon Johnson, former chief economist for the IMF, explained the options to Bill Moyers on a PBS appearance on February 13th:

… you can — sorry to get technical, but — reset the strike price… when your company goes down, and you have massive amounts of stock options that aren't worth much anymore, because the stock price has gone down, you say, 'Oh, well, we're going to reset our option prices.' [Emphasis mine.]

When an employee gets a stock option plan, there's a variable on it called a "strike price" that lets him buy company stock at a discount price. The strike price determines at what price those underlying assets can be bought. This happens regardless of what the "spot price," or market price, happens to be at the time the stock is sold.

In other words, let's say I'm a bank CEO. If I have stock options with my bank, and the strike price for my option is $1, I can buy the company's stock for only $1 per share–even if the market price listed today on the NYSE is $2 a share. Ideally, that puts in place an incentive for me to make the company do well, so the stock will go up. That way, when I exercise my option and sell at market price, I make money.

The extent to which the difference between my strike price and the spot price is profitable is called "moneyness." If a stock can be sold on the market above its strike price, it's said to be "in the money." If a stock's spot price dips below the strike price, it's "out of the money."

Obviously, bank stocks are in the bargain bin; a lot of Wall Street CEOs have options plans, as Johnson notes, that would presently be "out of the money."

Let's say I'm one of those CEOs, back at Bank A again. The strike price on my option is $1, but the company's stock is in the toilet today at just $0.20 a share. There's nothing in the current salary cap that says that my bank can't reset its strike price to, say, $0.10 a share. I can then buy shares half-price. That means that as soon as my bank pays back the government, I can cash out my stock options and double my money.

Of course, if the government had not interceded, my bank might have, say, become insolvent and been co-opted by the FDIC, and then been broken up and sold off to private equity firms. My stock options would be worth nil. But thanks to Uncle Sam's loan, I've just walked away with a huge 2:1 margin on my investment. I'm in the money.

By the way, must be hard to blog with your pants on fire all the time.

  18. Jake says:

"WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama has authorized a Saudi project to supply aerospace systems to Syria, in what was seen as the suspension of U.S. sanctions. "

Yeah, Obama is going to harm America greatly, no doubt, but he is absolutely going to destroy Israel through his pro-Muslim policies.

You know the saying Misery enjoys company. Well that is particularly true when the misery is shared by someone who actually helped cause the misery. There was a great number of Israeli Bloggers supporting Obama. Some even voted for him (don't get me into this as foreigners voting in an US election is so wrong and makes me so angry). So, I guess what goes around comes around.

Yeah, no doubt things are going to be very bad for Americans under Obama. But I think we will survive it. Can't say the same for Israel though.

  19. MsMissive says:

And in 8 years did President Bush accomplish ANY of the things you've just listed?!?

I consider President Obama's first month successful because:

-He's created a bi-partisan government by hiring Republicans into his cabinet and also encourages bi-partisan understanding and respect.

-He passed the largest stimulus package (with concessions to the Republicans even after having enough votes to get it passed without them) in our nations history.

-He expanded the SCHIP act to cover 11 million children (previously it was only 7 million) with health care.

-He has publicly condoned Wall Street bonuses and placed a cap on SEO salaries for those companies expecting stimulus relief funds.

-Most importantly, President Obama is bringing a country together that has been torn and shattered by too many years of war and economic hardship. Half the battle is simply bringing optimism to the table.
