Buried in snow link cache [brrrrr Edition]

Most of the United States is buried in snow after that freakish storm barreled across the continent leaving places like Las Vegas sprinkled with Christmas-y goodness and the Midwest without power.  I think that’s reason enough for a Friday afternoon link cache:

  • Copy cat Ukranian journalist throws his BOOT [vid] at a member of the Ukraine-NATO Social League Coordination Coucil (whatever the hell that is).  Is anyone even remotely impressed with airborne shoes at this point?
  • Ain’t no joke about Gitmo closing…. and soon!
  • I’m more than irritated and less than pleased about Obama’s choice of Rick Warren to deliver his Inaugural Invocation.  I’m still musing about it in my head.  More thoughts on that at a later time.
  • While I’m on the side of Al Franken to win the Minnesota Senate seat, I wouldn’t blame the GOP if they throw a hissy fit if he actually wins.
  • Caroline Kennedy is in consideration for taking Hillary Clinton’s New York Senate seat.  It all sounds great except one problem… Kennedy has absolutely no qualifications for the job besides her name.
  • Majel Roddenberry, the voice of the Star Trek computer AND Lwaxana Troy (Counselor Troy’s mother) has died.
  • Obama’s got his eye on the Israeli electric car movement.  Will this be the bridge for our big three auto makers?

Stay warm and safe, America.
