CNN is on auto loop (and every other media outlet, I’d wager) talking about Sen. Hillary Clinton being considered as Obama’s Secretary of State (you know, the same job Condi Rice has now?).  I’m finding it incredibly hard to believe that she’s a serious contender, no matter how many times CNN repeats it.  But then again, John Cole made some really great points regarding the advantages of having a Secretary of State Clinton:

Certainly, there is upside- having Clinton out of the country would most certainly make life easier (I kid- well, sorta) for Obama, as well as this choice would finally shut up some of the Clinton dead-enders.

Additionally, not having Hillary involved in the upcoming health care reform would most certainly make life easier for the Dems, as the Republicans will not be able to go to the well and shout “Hillarycare” over and over.

On the other hand, this just does not seem to me to be the kind of job Hillary would want, and I never really felt that negotiation was her strong point, nor foreign affairs. Also, she is just way to bellicose for my tastes.

Just a few things to think muse about.

Moving on to today’s creepy Friday the 14th link depot:

• Campaign staffers get FAT bonus’ from Obama… plus Blackberrys… plus laptops.  um, hook a girl up?
• The Chicago Bears 1st string QB, Orton, is listed as probable on the injury report vs. the Packers this Sunday.  As long as there’s no more Rex, I’ll be happy.
• Are the motor companies really worth saving??
• Walmart black Friday ads!  weeee!!!
• The masterminds behind the fake New York Times announcing the end of the war in Iraq have been snuffed out.  Fake or not, I wish I had a copy.
