- Sarah Palin has been all over the place granting interviews to anyone who will listen to build up momentum for her possible run for Prez in 2012, quite a stark contrast to her limited interviews as Veep Candidate, meanwhile John McCain dropped by Leno and injected a good amount of humor to his lost bid for the White House. Something to be said for losing graciously.
- On the other side Prez Elect Obama has come up with a rough estimated cost for his Health Care plan- $75 billion to insure 95% of Americans, or roughly $2,500 per newly insured person. Is that cost maintainable? One other shortfall of the proposed deal- not enough Primary Care Docs to go around. Hmm… looks like we’re sticking to the drawing board for now.
- Two U.S. soldiers were killed and 6 others were wounded by an Iraqi soldier in Mosul today, there is a debate over what exactly occurred with both sides having a different story, but this comes as sad news as the U.S. is in the midst of handing over most of Iraq to the Iraqi military and police forces, we’ll have more details as they come to light.
And just so we don’t end on a bummer note…
- Prop 8 may have stopped Same-Sex Marriages in California, but they’re just starting up in Connecticut. A month after the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage, today marked the first marriage license applied for.
