Barack Obama’s biggest edge during his 2008 Presidential campaign was embracing the power of the internet. Apparently, Israel’s Bibi Netanyahu couldn’t help himself with his website’s latest redesign.

Did you really think no one would notice, Bibi? I mean, it’s not like Barack Obama is the most famous man in the world right now, or anything.

well, the good news for isreal is their “obama” isn’t a socialist. at least they have a chance. we, on the other hand, are totally screwed.

Fred, do you really think McCain would have been a better president? John McCain lost because he ran a terrible, erratic campaign and did not outline any kind of plan dealing with the economic crisis or anything else that Americans care about. In the last weeks before the election, all I heard from John McCain, Sarah Palin and Fox Noise is that Obama is a socialist & pals around with terrorists - with no proof to back up the rhetoric. Thank goodness the majority of Americans don’t think that way - or we would have been really screwed!

relax dude. you won. be happy. now, obama:

- proposed raising taxes in a deep recession. been tried. and leads to depression. dumb idea.
- increasing tarrifs in a deep recession. been tried. led to a depression. dumb idea.
- raising cap gains. which he was reminded leads to LESS revenue. assuming he didnt know that, he then said “well, we’ll do it cause it’s fair”. dumb and inscrutable.
- likes the idea of windfall profts tax on energy companies. been tried. leads to LESS domestic production (bad), to avoid us-based income and the tax, as well as less supply (scarcity) and higher prices.
- said he would pullout of iraq almost immediately, then tempered it saying he would do it after consulting “the generals”, then said maybe they would still be there in 2012. point is moot now: we won. ask anyone who is there.
- said PUBLICLY (as opposed to doing it without pub) invading pakistan, a nuclear ally, to find UBL. probable bad idea. and is already being done; covertly.
- said the surge would NOT work. and it would make “things worse”. the sruge did work, we won, and he still cant admit his mistake. narcissistic and arrogant.
- wants to raise taxes on corporations. been done. prices rise, consumers pay the tax. corp profits fall, unemployment increases. multi-nations relocate outside usa. dumb idea. see ireland for the obverse.
- never has had a “real job”. says he can be most powerful man on the planet. yet hasnt worked a 40 hour week in his life. and spent most of his life on public dole. grants form charities, etc. or public service salary.
- wrote 2 auto biographies before age 40. strange? naaaaaahhhh. thats COOL! also possible benign narcissim.

i’ll stop. point being: things could be worse. and if you are a betting man, you would bet worse. no mccain fan here. just when you end up with the worst of 2 choices, be prepared for the inevitable. peace man. you’re happy. for now. and in the end, assuming you are young, too young to remember all the retreaded repackaged bad ideas of obama, since none of them were new or change, you will get a very good education in the next 4 years. and THATS a good thing. and that will make me happy. now pay attention ok? watch what IS done. compare to what was said to be done. then take careful notes of results. i know i know: i am a total dumbshit who has no idea what i am tlaking about. thats cool too. i can wait. i am patient. you learn that with age. wisdom comes. the fred abides.

No, but really, above everything we need to remember that McCain AND Obama are still politicians. Neither are perfect. I think we could write a “laundry list” about McCain just as easily as you did for Obama, Fred. Although I happily voted for Obama since, as jl pointed out, McCain was simply flailing away at nearly anything that could remotely smear Obama during the campaign.

But about the “Obama copy cats” post, I think the most ironic part of it is that Israel’s Netanyahu is NOTHING like Obama. He’s so far right that he might as well but up Bill O’Reilly’s ass. But hey, the kids like to look at fancy pants things, thus the website face lift.

P.S. You seriously made me choke a little when you wrote, “the fred abides”. Nice.

and if we did the mccain list, and did an analysis of the expected probable outcomes, a cost/benbefit analysis. based on historical facts. throw in some occams razor. i wonder what we would find? i suppose the way a campaign is run is one way to decide your vote. it doesnt seem like the most logical. somewhat emotional. but everybodys different. i applaud diversity. we will see. it will be fun to watch. beautiful in the way a super nova is i guess. the slow motion destructive force. yet beautiful. leading to something better or new after the destruction ends. life, death, rebirth.

all that being said: i think bibi could kick o’reilly’s ass.
