Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad didn’t attend the summer Olympics in Beijing last month.
I’m sure Bush was sorely dissapointed not to have had the chance to shake the hand of a man who may possibly be more of an ass-hole than himself.
But he arrived with much vigor to support disabled Iranian athletes in Beijing this weekend. His reason? Many of the athletes representing Iran are disabled from war time wounds.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrived in Beijing Saturday morning to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games due to be held in China on September 6-17.
Upon his arrival at Beijing’s International Airport, President Ahmadinejad and his entourage were welcomed by Assistant Foreign Minister of China Zhai Jun as well as Iran’s Ambassador to China Javad Mansouri and a number of Iranian diplomats.
The President is to attend the opening ceremony of the Beijing 2008 Paralympics Games to be held in the ‘Bird Nest’ Saturday evening.
Iran’s paralympic teams consisted of 73 athletes who would contest in nine different fields.
Prior to attend the opening ceremony, President Ahmadinejad is to meet with Iranian paralympics athletes at Beijing’s Olympic Village.
His visit to China is aimed at highlighting great ability of the Iranian athletes who are mainly war veterans suffering from physical disability
His goodness overflow-eth.

Keep in mind that Achmadinijad was elected with 7& of the registered voters. The rest stayed home.
As for President Bush, aside from the Kos-koolaid drinkers and their buddies in the Mainstream Media, who doesn't like him.
We have recovered from the last Democrat inspired recession. We have avoided a recession on his watch. The economy has grown, with our growth being larger than the entire economy of Mainland China. Unemployment has remained less than 6% for most of his tenure.
The war in Iraq has cost fewer lives than the WWII campaign in Sicily. Of course since that was during a Democratic president's tenure, the high school history books praise FDR's wise administration. The war against the Iraqi government was won within a month. The war against terrorists, which depends on changing hearts and minds, took longer, but is being won.
Afghanistan, after costing 40,000 Russian soldiers lives was taken away from the Taliban by a mere 500 special forces soldiers supported by air. That amazing bit was possible because of the brilliant strategy that with only 500 soldiers on the ground it was obvious that we were not there to occupy, but to liberate.
Again, with regard to the Bush administration, what is not to like? Congressional corruption has continued, but last time I checked, President Push was not in congress, and said corruption has not been reduced by swapping in corrupt Democrats.

Before you jab your mouth any further about how minimal the Iraq war is or minimize the damage the Bush administration has done for America's international image, maybe you should check to see who's writing this blog… two Iraq war veterans. There are more than just "Kos-koolaid drinkers and their buddies in the Mainstream Meadia" who don't like the Bush administration.
After you spend a year, or two, or three (as I've known several soldiers who have had numerous deployments to combat zones in Iraq & Afghanistan), then maybe I'll give your opinion an ounce of consideration.
Until then, take your "holier-than-thou-misinformed-rhetoric" back to your own space.
