U.S. Plan Withdraw From Iraq As Two Aircraft Carriers Arrive

Is that a timeline I see?

The proposed agreement calls for Americans to hand over parts of Baghdad’s Green Zone – where the U.S. Embassy is located – to the Iraqis by the end of 2008. It would also remove U.S. forces from Iraqi cities by June 30, 2009, according to the two senior officials, both close to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and familiar with the negotiations.

The officials, who spoke separately on condition of anonymity because the talks are ongoing, said all
U.S. combat troops would leave Iraq by October 2010, with the remaining support personnel gone “around 2013.”
The schedule could be amended if both sides agree – a face-saving escape clause that would extend the presence of U.S. forces if security conditions warrant it.

I’ll be shocked if the Bush administration agrees on a withdraw timeline by the end of 2008. It would be a HUGE turn-around from the Mr. “I refuse to say shit about withdrawing troops” Bush. Then again, it’ll be convenient to free up a few ground forces, ya know, with an Israeli strike against Iran in the horizon.

In a totally “unrelated” story…here comes the Navy!

Two additional United States naval aircraft carriers are heading to the Gulf and the Red Sea, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper Kuwait Times.

While the Kuwaiti daily did not name the ships it believed were heading for the Middle East, The Media Line’s defense analyst said they could be the USS Theodore Roosevelt and the USS Ronald Reagan.

Note: While the Jerusalem Post cites the Kuwaiti Times as its source of information for the two U.S. aircraft carriers, I was unable to find a link to the story on their website.

EDIT: Thank you Brianyn for posting the story link from Kuwaiti Times in the comments section! The Kuwaiti Times article can be found here.

Everyone’s gut feeling for their arrival coincides with the recent Iranian mess. I suspect America & Israel are aligning their pieces for an inevitable strike:

Meanwhile, the Arabic news agency Moheet reported at the end of July that an unnamed American destroyer, accompanied by two Israeli naval vessels traveled through the Suez Canal from the Mediterranean. A week earlier, a US nuclear submarine accompanied by a destroyer and a supply ship moved into the Mediterranean, according to Moheet.

The stars are aligning, my friends.

I admit, the fact they haven't finished the plan sounds a bit strange…but another Arab newspaper said the Kuwaiti army is pretty incompetent, so… The only other real reason to doubt I've heard so far is "the US navy would obscure the movements of its ships far better if this were for real"….except the US gov't hasn't been very shy about hiding their bad stuff this last long while. Compare this report of with the "official story" that WTC 7 (the third skyscraper on the WTC complex grounds, and also the HQ of the New York City emergency response management hub).

Namely, on one hand: a highly reinforced, tough building is solid enough you could get rid of a floor or two and it would still stand…

    yet somehow

intermittent fires and a scattering of debris/vibration damage from the towers collapsing made the same building come down symmetrically and cleanly. And there is no official explanation yet of how this happened, the people who collated the 9/11 report say they're still working on it.

This is not hidden source information. The US Gov't plainly does not care if we know it killed 3000 people on 9/11! Sociopaths like that are capable of _anything_. Ask your neighbours and their typical response to information like this, if they're smart is "you might be right, but if you are, we're doomed". But the US Gov't though is not all powerful. It only has a few hundred thousand bureaucrats and an army. When they start their coup d'etat, DO NOT SIT THERE AND TAKE IT! I may be in Canada but I know they're going to do the same thing up here as down there and I'm ready to stand up when the jackboots come.

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or, if during periods of mass arrest, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lair, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? After all, you knew ahead of time that those bluecaps were out at night for no good purpose. Or what about the Black Maria sitting out there on the street with one lonely chaffeur- what if it had been driven off or its tires spiked? The Organs would have quickly suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!
