That’s right, today Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Kamal al-Malikitold tribal leaders in the Green Zone that he had reached an agreement with the U.S. gov’t about the departure of all American troops.

“There is actually an agreement concluded between the two parties over the definite date, which is 2011, to end any foreign presence on Iraqi soil,” Mr. Maliki said.

Of course, the funny thing about that statement, is that the Bush Administration is denying fully that an agreement has been reached.

“These discussions continue, as we have not yet finalized an agreement,” a White House spokesman, Tony Fratto, said on Monday.

Well, that sounds promising, glad everyone here is on the same page.
