She’s surrounded by black gold but without access to it. Israel is in a tougher position than all other western countries in regards to oil. Billions of gallons of oil are coming from Middle Eastern countries… most of which never reaches Israeli land. (Egypt’s throws them a bone or two). She has barely enough fossil fuel resources of her own to support 1% of the countries demand and has to import from Africa, Europe, and Australia.
Since Saudi Arabia, Iran, and all the other grouchy Arab countries don’t want to play nice, Israel pays TWICE as much at the gas pump than Americans.
