January 3rd will be the start of the political roller coaster that is the 2008 Presidential election. What will Iowa bring to our candidates? Momentum. Confidence (to those favored). Defeat. (to those shunned). But to the public, it brings a moment of either “I told you so!” or “Damn. Really?” echoing past the office water cooler.
It isn’t the death of a candidate but it will certainly be a good indication of what’s to come.
Predictions?
My guess will be:
Dems:
1. Obama
2. Clinton
3. Edwards
Reps:
1. Romney
2. Huckaduck
3. Paul
And Ron Paul will make the top three only because of the massive throngs of almost cultish followers he seems to have enlisted amongst the young crowd (Damn hippies). All in all, don’t expect too many surprises.
