Obama ties it up with 2 wins now a piece between him and Clinton. This one was a definitive win, Obama picked up 55% of the vote, Clinton 27%, and Edwards, who is stating he wishes to keep his campaign alive despite not winning a single primary thus far, got 18%. This gives Obama some much needed momentum going into the next 10 days with the nation holding many more primaries.
An interesting side note- Obama’s votes were nearly double what McCain received in total in the Republican Primary in South Carolina last week, intriguing for a state that usually swings red.
