Mitt Romney’s Long Lost Cousin

It began with an awkward embrace.

On the campaign trail, Mitt Romney ran into a relative he hadn’t seen in over a decade. While delivering a speech on education, he noticed her in the front row.

“In the front row over here is my niece, Heather Glenn,” Romney said. “That’s probably not your last name anymore, Heather. But Heather is a school teacher. Are you a school teacher?”

“No. I’m a pediatrician,” she responded.

“She’s a pediatrician,” Romney said, to laughter. “Deals with kids. I haven’t seen Heather in, um, 20 years. Good to see you, Heather.”

Even though Heather is actually his second cousin, she identifies him as “Uncle Mitt”. It’s got kind of an… um… interesting ring to it.

After the speech, the media asked her if she had decided who she was going to vote for in next years Presidential election. Her reply?

Wait for it.

“I’m staying open,” she said.

Anyone else find the hilarity in that?
